Our Fresh Seafood Story
Serving fresh seafood since 1990.
Cardon was founded in 1990 by Don and Carla Newell. At first, these two young entrepreneurs would pick up and deliver boxes of fresh seafood up the east coast of Florida themselves. Over the past 30+ years, Cardon has grown into one of the largest importers of Trinidad tunas.

Carla Newell
Founder / President
Don Newell: Don has been in the seafood industry for 40 years now. Don and his wife, Carla, have built Cardon from the ground up.
Carla Newell: Carla has been in the seafood industry for 30 years. She is a pioneer for women working in the industry.
Chris Newell
Operations / Assistant Sales
Chris graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelors in Economics and a masters in Management. He enjoys watching the major South Florida sports teams and listening to classic rock music, especially The Beatles.
Cody Newell
Assistant Sales
Cody graduated from the University of Florida before going on to receive his Juris Doctor degree from the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University. In his off time, Cody enjoys watching sports, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends.
